How many measurements can be stored in the WEG Motor Scan?

The sensor stores up to 30 days of data to send it to the MFM.

On what motors can the WEG Motor Scan be installed?

For better a performance of the diagnostics tools, the WEG Motor Scan should be installed on WEG induction motors of the W21, W22, W50 and HGF lines on IEC 63 to 450 or equivalent NEMA frames. Installation on motors from other manufacturers is not forbidden; however, the nameplate data must be entered manually, and diagnostics tools may have limitations. More details are found in the mechanical installation manual: https://static.weg.net/medias/downloadcenter/h33/h99/WEG-motor-scan-mechanical-installation-manual-10008443215-pt-en-es.pdf.

How does WEG Motor Scan send the measurements to the WEG IoT Platform?
Measurements stored in the WEG Motor Scan must be collected using the WEG Motor Scan mobile app with a smartphone or tablet through the Bluetooth conection. If the smartphone or tablet has an internet connection at the time of collection the data will be transferred automatically. However, data can be collected for later upload according to internet availability.
Can the WEG Motor Scan be installed on motors driven by variable speed drives?

Yes. The user must enable the “Connected to a variable speed drive” function in the WEG Motor Scan application during the configuration.

Is the WEG Motor Scan able to operate in hazardous areas?

Yes. The sensor is certified for use in hazardous areas. Check the declaration of conformity for details at: https://static.weg.net/medias/downloadcenter/h7c/h01/WEG-motor-scan-EU-declaration-of-conformity-10008491657-en.pdf.
