What to do when the WEG Motor Scan battery runs out?

When the battery charge ends, the WEG Motor Scan must be discarded as indicated in the product manual. As it is an electronic device, local rules for selective collection of electrical and electronic equipment must be observed.

Can the WEG Motor Scan firmware be updated?

Yes, through the mobile app it is possible to check if there is new software available for downloading and updating the device. Pair the sensor and wait for the data collection; click on "More" and "Update Software".

How is the WEG Motor Scan attached to the motor?

The WEG Motor Scan is supplied with an M4x20 screw and a knurled bushing. It is fixed through a hole in the motor fin. The mobile app contains step-by-step instructions on how to attach it. What quantities can the WEG Motor Scan measure?

The WEG Motor Scan measures three-axis vibration at global speed and acceleration values, vibration spectrum, motor surface temperature and running time. In addition, estimates of the motor speed and supply frequency, load and power can be acquired.

What is the measurement acquisition rate?

The WEG Motor Scan makes one global vibration measurement per hour. The motor temperature and running time measurements are taken every 10 minutes and are grouped into 3-hour measurement packages. In addition, instant and spectrum measurements can be requested on-site at any time via the app with the "Advanced Measurements" function.
