WEG carried out special testing services to diagnose the insulation system on three turbo generators at the Ipê Plant, owned by Pedra Agroindustrial S/A, located in Nova Independência/SP. The service was performed in January 2025 and aimed to assess the condition of the equipment, preventing failures and increasing the operational reliability of the unit.

The tests were conducted using the RMGUARDIAN® system, an advanced technology applied to rotating electrical machines. The solution not only diagnoses the condition of the insulation but also maps risks, predicts failures, and investigates factors that may accelerate the degradation of the insulation system of motors and turbo generators, including the four-pole, 13.8 kV, and 31,250 kVA turbo generators at the Ipê Plant. Additionally, it enables preventive and corrective interventions, supports maintenance planning, and provides in-company training, ensuring greater safety and operational efficiency.

The use of RMGUARDIAN® represents a technological advancement for WEG, which has a specialized structure for field testing. For the Ipê Plant, the technology provides reliable data for assertive decisions, reducing the risk of unexpected downtime and avoiding significant financial losses due to unscheduled stoppages.
