WEG is providing a comprehensive range of electric motors and frequency inverters for a major petrochemical project in the United Arab Emirates. These products will play a vital role in the conversion of oil into plastics, including materials such as polyethylene and polyphenols.
The scope includes more than 100 high voltage motors, including large induction and synchronous motors, and about 620 low voltage motors, as well as low and medium voltage frequency inverters that will be used in some of these processes. Altogether, these supplies represent more than R$ 130 million in revenue for WEG.
“These supplies distinguish themselves by delivering a comprehensive solution at competitive prices and with optimized lead times. In addition, we offer a dedicated project management team focused on meeting customer needs, ensuring faster response times and providing an efficient and direct communication channel”, explains Elder Stringari, WEG’s International Director.
The project, an industrial complex located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, will increase annual production capacity by 1.4 million tons of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). Scheduled to commence operations in 2025, the complex is expected to create new opportunities for manufacturers in the United Arab Emirates and supply essential raw materials to support the next phase of the country’s industrial growth.
WEG, renowned worldwide for its expertise in managing complex projects with clients and partners across multiple countries, leveraged its robust manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Europe, and India to successfully fulfill the project’s requirements. This achievement highlights WEG’s capability to deliver comprehensive and efficient solutions on a global scale.
