Sensatto Investimentos, a family group that brings together the experience of Grupo Tavares de Melo in the Real Estate, Mining, and Chemical sectors, selected WEG to supply equipment for the Juruena Hydroelectric Power Plant, marking its entry into the energy market.

The supplied products include two complete sets of Kaplan turbines of 25,715 kW, generators of 27,778 kVA, excitation and speed control systems, a 55,000/60,000 kVA transformer, as well as logistics, electromechanical assembly, commissioning, and start-up services for the generating units.

These components are destined for the Juruena Hydroelectric Power Plant, located in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. With an installed capacity of 50 MW, the HPP will be able to supply electricity to an average of 110,000 people, significantly contributing to meeting Brazil’s future energy demand.

In addition to economic benefits, the Juruena HPP project brings environmental advantages, such as reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting energy sustainability as part of the energy transition. The plant’s potential for clean and renewable generation helps reduce the environmental impact caused by non-renewable energy sources.

WEG delivers a complete range of equipment and specialized services for hydroelectric power plants, offering customized solutions developed by its own engineering team to maximize energy production and optimize natural resource use.

For Sensatto Investimentos, this project represents the expansion of its activities into the hydropower sector, as well as an opportunity to increase revenue through energy generation and sales. For WEG, the partnership reinforces its role as a reliable provider of energy solutions, strengthening its position in the market.
